"Expanding housing is essential to tackling affordability and economic opportunity."
- The Vermont Futures Project
About the Event
As many Vermonters know, our state is in the midst of a housing crisis. A bright economic future for Vermont depends on housing, and that starts here.
Hula gives entrepreneurs a place to land, connect, and grow their businesses. But for Vermont to truly thrive, Burlington, and beyond, needs more housing.
The 125 Lakeside Ave. initiative is a bold step toward that future. This first-in-the-nation, car-share-only, mixed-use neighborhood is designed with affordability, community, and sustainability in mind. With Jonathan Rose Companies involved, the project emphasizes environmentally responsible development, socially just practices, and the creation of green, mixed-income housing.
Dive in to learn how Hula came to be, the bigger picture for entrepreneurs, and how 125 Lakeside Ave. represents a cultural shift toward sustainable living for our community, our economy, and our future.
