Dear Hula Community,

It’s been an incredible few months together at Hula—new faces, fresh ideas, and momentum across campus. As the seasons shift, it’s the perfect moment to carry that energy forward and share what’s ahead across our three core pillars—Campus, Community, and Capital.

Spaces across campus continue to evolve to better support your work and wellbeing–here’s what to expect through year-end:

  • Coworking expansion in Building 44 — forthcoming thanks to fresh custom furniture for the common areas by Hula’s own John Schaefer, plus a coffee machine upgrade to fuel your days.
  • A Fitness Center refresh in Building 50 — expect a refined layout and equipment in anticipation of welcoming fitness programming in the space, plus a new indoor meditation space for daily decompression.
  • Campuswide upgrades — reinvigorated mail and airbox services will be available this fall along with a streamlined events program with preset layouts, preferred caterers, and pricing designed to make hosting and attending easier than ever—all while complementing Hula’s mission.

Thanks to your ideas and energy, our community continues to thrive. Here’s what’s next:

  • Annual Community Survey (coming in October) — coming to an inbox near you, is your chance to help shape 2026 programming and share the stories we’ll celebrate next year.
  • Internship momentum — over the summer together we welcomed 29 students from 7 colleges in 10 states. We’re already planning more ways to support your interns next summer, with gratitude to everyone who opened their doors to students!
  • Peer-to-Peer Coaching — we share your interest in growing this community’s capacity to mentor and support one another professionally so we’ve partnered with Mentor Vermont to do just that. Learn more here.
  • Events & networking — enjoy the online calendar, with more updates (and plenty of fun) on the way. See what’s coming.  And a big warm welcome to all the new members who’ve joined since June—we’re so glad you’re here!

Innovation thrives when fueled by both community and capital:

  • Venture Roundtable – launched by Hula’s Jenny Dalton, the Roundtable connects fund managers to share insights, deal flow, and networks. We look forward to supporting this peer group and the work that comes from it in the months ahead.
  • Expanding access to capital – we’re exploring a partnership with Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) through the U.S. Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) to support Vermont founders. Stay tuned for more information and many thanks to those of you who supported Hula’s application to VEDA this past spring!
  • Your input matters – this October’s survey will include questions about how Hula can help strengthen Vermont’s investing community. From learning opportunities to collaborative initiatives, your ideas will shape the resources and connections we build together.

As always, thank you for participating in this journey. Together, we’re building something extraordinary.

With gratitude and excitement,

Lucia Campriello
