n grew up near the ocean in Massachusetts, close to Cape Cod. His journey took an exciting turn when he met his wife après-skiing at Sugarbush, prompting a move to Vermont shortly after.

With a career rooted in carpentry and woodworking, John has honed his skills over many years. He first heard about Hula through Todd Sarandos (fellow Hula team member), an old friend and one of the first people he met after moving to Vermont in 2001. They renovated an old farmhouse together, marking the beginning of John's deep connection to the area.

With a wealth of experience, his interest in Hula was sparked by contributing to several small projects during its construction. The modern building systems at Hula present a fun challenge as John finds great joy in fixing things and understanding how they work. John keeps everything running smoothly and takes great pride in doing so.

Outside of work, John dedicates most of his time to his family, often watching his two teenage sons compete in various sports. As a family, they enjoy skiing and mountain biking together. In his remaining free time, you can find John working on his house and spending time in his small woodshop at home.
