Abbey Berger-Knorr is a Vermont-based public relations professional, podcast host, and singer-songwriter. She works full-time as Senior PR & Communications Associate at Cultivate, a PR agency founded by Alexandra Tusi with a presence at Hula. At Cultivate, Abbey supports clients across industries including arts & design, CPG & hospitality, and innovation & social impact. Her expertise spans media relations, brand storytelling, and social media strategy, and she also leads new events and workshops for the agency—most recently the upcoming “PRopel: PR Strategies for Startup Success” on October 16, 2025. Abbey graduated from Champlain College in 2024 with a degree in Communication and a minor in Global Studies and is now pursuing her MS in Corporate and Organizational Communication at Northeastern University.
Abbey’s central mission—both at Cultivate and beyond—is to uplift Vermont’s creative community. In 2023, she founded Abstract VT, a livestream podcast hosted out of nonprofit music organization Big Heavy World. Each week, Abbey interviews Vermont-based creatives, guiding conversations around their music taste. Every guest selects five songs that shape the discussion, creating a unique blend of storytelling and sound. In 2025, Abstract VT was nominated for a Seven Daysies award for “Best Local Podcast.”

A lifelong musician, Abbey has been writing songs since the age of three (though she admits they’ve improved since then). In her free time, she performs as a singer-songwriter in the local community. Her latest single, Right Next to Me (released August 2025), was praised by Seven Days music editor Chris Farnsworth as “a lovelorn slice of pop-flavored folk, with a bedrock of acoustic guitar and vamping piano.”
