Hula’s campus was designed with sustainability at its core, and our renewable energy systems are a powerful example of that commitment in action. Expansive solar arrays on Building 50 and Building 44 capture solar energy year-round. Together, these rooftop systems generate over one megawatt of clean electricity which is enough to power a significant portion of our campus operations and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

Below ground, Hula uses geothermal energy to efficiently heat and cool our buildings. By tapping into the earth’s stable temperatures, we dramatically reduce the energy needed to keep things comfortable year round  Check out this video made by our friends at the Conservation Law Fund about the geothermal system

Beyond the buildings themselves, Hula also offers 12 electric vehicle charging stations available to members and guests, ample bicycle storage, and bicycle rentals available to our members.
