The newly formed Smart Biz Meetup group held its first-ever Hula member-driven lunchtime meeting on March 27th, and it was a perfect example of the Hula community getting together to connect with new people, share information, and level one another up.
, and if you haven’t been there yet, we highly recommend it. We spent the noon hour diving into the theme of the day: “How to enhance the productivity of your business with AI.” There was no shortage of interesting discussion on how AI is already shaking things up in everything from market research to programming to creativity;  for example, who knew AI could help illustrate your wildest dreams?

It was amazing to hear how the entrepreneurs and businesses in our community are utilizing AI. One member of the meetup talked about how he successfully challenged one of his employees to build a time-tracking app within three hours using AI. Another noted that she’s tapped AI for podcast creation.
The group didn’t just stop at the tech talk. Folks got into some thought-provoking conversations about the ethical, environmental, and even geopolitical impacts of AI. It was one of those moments that reminded us how incredible this community is, and how lucky we are to share these kinds of conversations over a casual lunch.
, Jeremiah is the one making this particular meetup happen. Major shoutout for to him for  this  vision and leadership. We’re thrilled to see that more of these meetups are being initiated by Hula members.  They are a great place to hang out, learn a little, and of course, grab some amazing food.
If you missed this one, don’t worry— this is a monthly lunchtime event, and since it is hosted in the Preppi Eatery, we encourage non-members to join in. Feel free to invite folks you think might be interested. Details for the April meetup are coming soon, so stay tuned to Slack.
See you next time!
