Pathways Vermont: Giving Day 2025

CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF COMMUNITY IMPACT

Support Pathways Vermont and make a difference in our community!

This year marks a major milestone for Pathways Vermont, a nonprofit that has been at the forefront of addressing homelessness and mental health challenges across the state for the past 15 years. Through their innovative, evidence-based “housing first” approach, Pathways has helped thousands of Vermonters find permanent housing, regain stability, and reclaim their independence.

Founded in 2009, Pathways Vermont operates on a simple but powerful belief: housing is a human right. Rather than requiring people to meet certain conditions before receiving housing, Pathways provides immediate access to safe, permanent housing, paired with mental health support and wraparound services. This model has consistently proven to be more effective, humane, and sustainable than traditional approaches to homelessness.

To celebrate 15 years of service and amplify their impact, Pathways is launching Giving Day 2025 on Wednesday, June 18. This one-day fundraising event is a chance for the community to come together in support of Pathways’ mission, and for every dollar donated, a group of generous donors will match contributions up to $50,000, doubling the impact.

Hula’s Connection

At Hula, we believe in supporting the organizations that make our community stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient. We’re proud to partner with Pathways Vermont and lend our voice—and our resources—to help them meet their Giving Day goal.

This partnership is also a personal one. Tim Wall, a partner at the Fund at Hula, sits on the board of Pathways Vermont, playing an active role in its vision and growth. He’s joined by three fellow Hula members—Mark Crow, Sara Mahon, and Peter Toshev—who also serve on the board and bring their unique leadership and insights to this essential work.

Their collective involvement is a reflection of the values we share at Hula: innovation, community, and a deep commitment to solving real problems in meaningful ways.

Why It Matters

Homelessness and mental health struggles are deeply interconnected. Pathways addresses both, working to eliminate the systemic barriers that keep people marginalized. From providing permanent supportive housing to operating the state’s only Soteria House—a groundbreaking alternative to hospitalization for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis—Pathways is redefining what compassionate care looks like in Vermont. Their work doesn’t just change lives—it saves them.
