Lake Champlain is at the heart of our communities, our economy, and our way of life, but it faces growing threats from pollution and climate change. This story centers the fact that sometimes when everybody is aware of a problem, no one steps up to own it.
Elena Mihaly, Vice President of the Conservation Law Foundation and Julie Silverman, who is Lake Champlain's Senior LakeKeeper will share the inspiring story of challenge, collaboration, and hope connected to defending the lake, and ensuring its health for generations to come. Through stories, behind-the-scenes lessons, and powerful examples of community action, they will clarify why protecting the lake requires more than science or policy, but rather takes an engaged community and leadership.
